When we watched the preview last week for Riverdale, we were already excited. Gina Torres giving our Scooby Gang some much-needed licensed counseling about all of the horribleness they’ve had to endure? Yes, please! We’ll be damned if they didn’t give us that and more in what we’re pretty close to calling a Top 5 episode of the series, no questions asked. It’s not just that the kids are getting some much needed help, and not just that the writers are acknowledging the pain that they’ve been put through. It’s that all of it, from Archie’s need to be a hero, to Jughead realizing he’s lost the story, to Cheryl Blossom finally being forced to acknowledge she’s truly struggling - all of it is real, true character development. And wow, did we need it. Enjoy our review of this week’s episode on The Doghouse!
